404 Ocean View Road is a YouTube channel. Its production tools (the "Studio") use YouTube API Services to publish episodes and to understand how they're received. This page explains what data that involves.
YouTube API Services. The Studio uses YouTube API Services. By using it, or by interacting with our channel, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Who uses the Studio
The Studio is used only by the channel's owner, to manage the 404 Ocean View Road channel. It does not sign in or act on behalf of anyone else, and it is not offered to the public.
What data it accesses

The Studio does not access viewers' private data, other channels' data, or anything beyond what is listed above.
How it's used and shared
- Comment text may be summarised by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to group feedback into themes. Display names are removed before summaries are stored.
- We never sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers needed to run the Studio (Google/YouTube, GitHub for private storage, and Anthropic for summarising).
- We will not name, quote or depict a real commenter in an episode without their permission.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted on GitHub Pages; GitHub may log standard technical information such as IP addresses for security, as described in GitHub's privacy statement.
Removing access and deleting data
The channel owner can revoke the Studio's access to YouTube at any time from the Google security settings page. If you left a comment and want any stored copy deleted sooner, email us and we'll delete it within 7 days.
